Start vs. Finish: The Shocking Truth Revealed – Why the Finish Matters More!

In my personal journey, I’ve been contemplating the significance of finishing strong. As an athlete or someone passionate about athletics, you understand that your starting point may not be the most crucial factor; what truly matters is how you conclude. It’s the finish that defines winners and losers, leaving a lasting impact on how you’re remembered.

The story of King Manasseh, not to be confused with Joseph’s son, holds a special meaning for me. Hezekiah, his father, was a devoted king with a strong passion for God. However, Manasseh’s character took a starkly different path.

The Old Testament presents instances where virtuous kings had sons who turned out to be evil, and vice versa – showing the complexities of human nature. It’s intriguing to see how sometimes an evil father king could have a son who is deeply passionate about God. The Bible defines evil as straying away from God’s ways, providing a clear description of its consequences.

Manasseh, as king, turned away from the ways of the Lord and embraced pagan idol worship, building altars and images that deviated completely from God’s teachings. He took the throne at the young age of twelve.

In addition to idol worship, Manasseh committed even more heinous acts, like sacrificing his own sons in the valley of Ben-Hinom. He delved into sorcery, divination, witchcraft, and consulted with mediums and psychics.
